Mental Health Consumer Network

The ACT Mental Health Consumer Network is an organization that represents the interests and voices of people who are affected by mental ill-health. They do this by listening to individuals and carers and raising issues at policy and decision-making forums. You can find the ‘My Rights My Decisions’ forms on their website if you want to document decisions about your mental health treatment and care.

Public Trustee and Guardian

The public trustee and guardian provide financial trustee, guardianship and administration services to the ACT community. They also have information about appointing an Enduring Power of Attorney or making a will on their website.

Advance Care Planning

Advance Care Planning Australia is a national program that provides information and resources to help support people to make decisions about end of life care. You can find the appropriate forms for your state or territory on their website.

The ACT Human Rights Commission promotes the human rights of everyone in the ACT. The Commission resolves and conciliates complaints about discrimination and health service and practitioners. The Commission supports victims of crime through counselling, financial assistance and court support. It also  advocates for children, young people and adults who are vulnerable to abuse, exploitation or neglect.
